Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, along with an attractive benefits package including annual bonuses, merit increases, 3 weeks' vacation, flexible benefit plan, and a defined contribution pension with matching contributions.
Job Description
As a Claims Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include sending application packages to clients via email or mail, completing and sending correspondence to clients, legal representatives, and other interested parties, as well as corresponding with vendors for scheduling insurer examinations.
- Send Application packages to clients via email/mail
- Complete and send correspondence to clients, legal representatives and other interested parties
- Correspond with vendors for scheduling of Insurer Examinations
- Provide department support by matching mail for claims files, distribution and response of department voicemail messages and maintenance of department software
- Payment of invoices as directed by adjusters and leadership
- New Claims set-up
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong keyboarding and data entry skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, exceptional communication skills both written and oral, strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills, and experience with Microsoft Office platform.
- Post-secondary education is required and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
- Minimum of 1 year claims experience or experience working within the health care industry
- Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
- Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office platform
