The college is part of BPP Education Group, a diversified post-secondary education company dedicated to helping international students achieve their academic and career goals. This team of international education professionals connects international students with a network of universities worldwide, enabling them to reach their full potential.

This role supports the growth strategies of Arbutus College by increasing student applications and enrollments from targeted markets or regions. To achieve this goal, the recruitment specialist collaborates closely with the College Director, Admissions, Finance, Marketing, and Conversion teams. They are responsible for account management of assigned recruitment agencies and conducting business development with high-potential new agents to increase productivity in recruiting suitable students.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Fostering academic program opportunities at Arbutus College, focusing on supporting international students.
  • Maintaining and updating student records in accordance with CICC policies and relevant guidelines, ensuring compliance with IRPA, IRPR, and IRCC regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with current recruitment agents within designated regions.
  • Building the number of active agents and new high-potential agents for Arbutus College.
  • Providing ongoing agent support through regular communication, training, product information, and promotions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in non-exclusive channel sales and demonstrated recruitment experience in education or a similar service industry. They should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to initiate and manage business relationships across cultures. Travel may be required, both locally and internationally.

This position requires working on-campus (in-person) four days per week, except when visiting local agency offices or performing international recruitment travel. The role also involves frequent local and international travel, with typical recruitment trips lasting 10-15 days.

The salary for this position ranges between $60,000 to $69,000 per annum. Please note that Arbutus College reserves the right to amend this Position Description based on organizational needs and emerging required skills. All position changes will be discussed and agreed upon by the employee and reporting manager prior to implementation.
