Patient Service Specialist Float

At Watson Clinic, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Specialist Float to join our team. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient demographics and perform searches to avoid duplicates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Provide questionnaires and forms according to physician protocols, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Verify payment sources and run insurance eligibility, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Monitor lobby wait times and advise patients accordingly, providing exceptional customer service and a positive experience.
- Schedule and cancel appointments following protocols, ensuring efficient use of provider time and minimizing wait times.
- Collect payments and issue receipts, maintaining accurate financial records and adhering to clinic policies.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent, with a strong foundation in medical terminology and knowledge of the medical field.
- 1+ years of experience in a medical or insurance environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
