  • Register and book patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Interview and confirm patient visits, gathering necessary information and documentation.
  • Enter scheduled orders and maintain data quality, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Utilize Cerner ESM and other clinical systems to manage patient data and schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Imaging team to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient department operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or post-secondary medical secretarial education or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of PM Access training and certification.
  • Proven experience in clinical scheduling environments, with expertise in Cerner ESM.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on data quality and patient safety.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office experience, with proficiency in Word and other relevant software applications.
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient safety principles.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, and adapt to changing department needs.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record, with a commitment to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies.
