Mobile Control Systems Engineer

MasterTech is seeking a skilled professional to develop, implement, and maintain advanced programming for mobile and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in programming languages such as CODESYS, QT, HGP, J1939, CANOpen, DeviceNet, Profinet, and PROFIBUS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system faults, programming, debugging, and commissioning, as well as contributing to machine planning and selecting key components.
  • Develop and implement software solutions for both mobile and industrial control systems.
  • Program, analyze, simulate, and test programmable logic control (PLC) systems, ensuring they meet design specifications.
  • Create detailed electrical and logical schematics, including models for wiring harnesses.
  • Provide technical support to mechanical designers on control system integration.
  • Test and debug prototypes, troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly issues as they arise.
  • Incorporate sensors and transducers into new and existing systems to optimize performance.
  • Contribute to the development of hydraulic and mechanical systems with electronic controls.
  • Collaborate with clients to define project goals, scope, and requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to explore and integrate new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or mechatronic engineering.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as CODESYS, QT, HGP, J1939, CANOpen, DeviceNet, Profinet, and PROFIBUS.
  • Strong knowledge of AC & DC systems, electrical schematics, and control methods, as well as fluid dynamics.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Compensation:

  • $50.00/hour to start.
  • 100% employer paid benefits for the individual. Family benefit plan available. Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance contributions, paid time off, RRSP, after 90 days.

Shift:

  • 8AM start time, Monday to Friday. 8-10 hour days, averaging around 44 hour work weeks. Overtime paid after 44 hours per week.
