Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to lead our client's automation project initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automation Design & Implementation: Develop and implement advanced control strategies for new automation systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives and operational goals.
  • System Optimization: Analyze existing control systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of automation projects, from concept through commissioning, while adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations, and IT to ensure seamless integration of control systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety in all operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on automation in industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Experience with modern control techniques and technologies, including IoT and machine learning applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
