Proposal Development Coordinator

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to join our team. As a Proposal Coordinator, you will play a critical role in identifying and tracking bid opportunities for our municipal and commercial/industrial solid waste services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough online research to identify potential bid opportunities that align with our business goals.
  • Download and analyze procurement documents, and prepare executive summaries for management review.
  • Assist in the development of proposal content, coordinate with sales and operations teams to gather information, and compile complete proposals.
  • Manage the proposal submission process, including tracking active and pending submissions.
  • Support the preparation of surety requests and after-award documentation.
  • Maintain a standardized reporting system for upcoming bid deadlines and pertinent information.
  • Communicate with clients and GFL management to clarify questions and provide proposal responses.
  • Collaborate with corporate, group, and division management, sales managers, and operations teams to gather information for proposal responses.
  • Request and verify Certificates of Insurance (COI) and Workers Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining internal documentation, including policies, procedures, COI, and WSIB.
  • Develop and maintain document templates.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the waste industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Independent worker with strong self-motivation and teamwork skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and adapting to changing deadlines.
  • Well-developed organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PDF formats.
  • Valid driver's license.
