About the Role

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Coordinator to join our team. As a Proposal Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for our municipal and commercial/industrial solid waste services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and track online bid searches to identify opportunities for Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Tender (RFT), and other procurement documents.
  • Download and analyze procurement documents, and prepare executive summaries for management review.
  • Assist with the development of proposal content, coordinate with District Managers/Sales/Operations to solicit content, compile complete proposals, and manage the proposal submission process.
  • Support surety requests for submissions as well as after award documentation assistance.
  • Track active submissions and pending submissions.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the waste industry.
  • Able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent worker/self-starter as well as working as a team.
  • Capable of working under stressful circumstances, where demands and deadlines shift frequently.
  • Well-developed organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PDF formats.
  • Valid driver's license.
