What is the opportunity?

As a key member of our Client Relationship Team, you will leverage your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients. Your ability to provide expert advice and resolve complex business challenges will be essential in delivering top-tier financial services and solutions tailored to individual client needs.

What will you do?

  • Apply your business development experience to prospect and lead generate new and existing clients
  • Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice within a Client Relationship Team model
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a core group of expert advisors to create and execute a client contact strategy tailored to each client's needs
  • Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through the review of financial statements, identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructuring
  • Leverage the expertise of RBC by identifying referral opportunities, making introductions, and referring clients to RBC partners

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum 3-5 years commercial banking experience
  • Deep and proven client-centricity, business development, and relationship management excellence
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • New client acquisition skills, including pitching the value proposition, lead generation, initial customer contact, and cold calling
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology, including web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications

Nice-to-have

  • Credit skills, including assessment of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions, and presenting the deal
  • Specialized industry expertise in a past role, such as real estate, healthcare, or agriculture
  • University degree, ideally in commerce, business administration, or related experience
