We are seeking an experienced Project Management Executive to join our team at Shackleton Duke Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for successfully implementing the required construction management services for assigned contracts.

The Project Management Executive is selected for a given project by the President or Vice President and reports directly to them, functioning as the critical link between the corporate office and the job site(s).

A key responsibility of this role is to establish and maintain good relationships with the owner(s), design consultants, subcontractors, and field personnel assigned to a project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Superintendent in their roles and responsibilities as the site authority for the construction of any given project.
  • Ensure that the client's Health and Safety Program is fully implemented on the job site.
  • Ensure that an adequate Quality Control plan and methodology is fully implemented on the job site.

Pre-Construction Phase:

  • Meet with the Sales and Design Team and Estimator to become familiar with all aspects of the project and review constructability issues.
  • Establish the Critical Path of the contract agreed upon Project Schedule with the assistance of the superintendent and key subcontractors.
  • Carry out a thorough site review to establish the site working plan and evaluate potential hazards.
  • Set up the project cost control and filing systems in accordance with corporate Policy and Procedures manual.
  • In consultation with the client and Superintendent, set up the schedule for site meetings, billing process, change order procedures, and submission schedule based on the Project Schedule.

Construction Phase:

  • Complete the buyout of all trade contractors, suppliers, and materials in accordance with planned budget costs.
  • Update the project schedule, particularly the Critical Path, with input from key Trade Contractors, Consultants, Suppliers, and the Superintendent.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety documents are in place in accordance with the corporate Health and Safety Program.
  • Provide the site staff with appropriate costs and quantities from project estimates and budget for monitoring.
  • Establish the schedule and requirements for testing and inspection and the general Quality Assurance and Quality Control guidelines for the project.
  • Conduct bi-weekly site meetings with key trades and prepare required agendas and minutes.
  • Ensure that there is a well-organized system for the documentation and correction of deficiencies during the project.

Project Closeout:

  • Schedule and execute appropriate closeout inspections with various authorities.
  • Ensure that all Trade Contractors have submitted the required closeout documents before releasing final payments.
