Job Title: Civil Law Legal Assistant

Azran Lawyers, a renowned law firm in Montreal, seeks a highly skilled Civil Law Legal Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the civil law team, you will provide administrative and legal support to the lawyers, contributing to the success of the firm's mandates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative and legal tasks related to civil law, including managing client files and documentation.
  • Organize schedules, appointments, and court events, ensuring timely compliance with deadlines.
  • Prepare legal procedures, formulate and refine documents, and review correspondence for grammatical accuracy.
  • Manage communications with clients, court services, and stakeholders, and maintain accurate filing systems.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including time entry, invoicing, and expense management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience as a legal assistant or equivalent.
  • Mastery of civil law terminology, rules, and procedures, as well as Aliform software.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written.
  • Complete mastery of the Office suite.
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and discretion.
