Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Civil Litigation Lawyer with a strong background in contract disputes, tort claims, and real estate disputes. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Judicial Representation: Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, and real estate disputes.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement effective legal strategies to maximize clients' chances of success.
  • Case Management: Manage client files from opening to closing, ensuring that each file is properly organized and updated.
  • Drafting of Legal Documents: Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate out-of-court settlements to avoid lengthy and costly lawsuits.
  • Communication with Clients: Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their files.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal situations and propose innovative solutions.
  • Personal Qualities: Rigor, sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in technological tools for case management and legal research.
