About the Role:
CancerCare Manitoba, a provincial agency providing clinical and academic services, is seeking a Medical Physicist to join its team in Winnipeg, MB.
In this permanent, full-time role, you will have the opportunity to gain a broad range of clinical experiences within the Department of Medical Physics, providing clinical and technical support for the radiation oncology program.
Depending on your expertise, you may also support, mentor, and supervise students in the University of Manitoba's CAMPEP-accredited medical physics graduate or clinical residency program.
The ideal candidate will possess an MSc in Radiotherapy Physics, a minimum of 2 years of clinical training experience in radiation oncology physics, and MCCPM certification or eligibility to apply.
The successful candidate will have experience with linacs, CT-simulators, treatment planning systems, HDR brachytherapy, and MRI.
We are actively growing our research program, and a strong research track record and interest in pursuing research in a collaborative environment is an asset.
The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal, is required.
