Job Description
  • The Procurement and Subcontracts Specialist plays a key role in supporting the success of the Woodfibre LNG Project. This dynamic position involves managing high-value contracts, negotiating commercial terms, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Focused on delivering exceptional results, the Procurement and Subcontracts Specialist will develop and implement effective contracting strategies, evaluate commercial bids, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of business principles, contract law, and procurement best practices. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop a solid contracting plan and strategy.
    • Developing negotiation strategies for high-value contracts and leading commercial negotiations.
    • Reviewing commercial bids and providing recommendations to senior management.
    • Coordinating the review and approval of procurement and subcontract documentation.
    • Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5-8 years of experience in procurement and/or subcontracts for major capital projects.
    • Prior experience in oil and gas, chemical, or infrastructure industries preferred.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
