Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Parts Technician to join our team at Western Star Trucks North. As a key member of our Parts department, you will be responsible for ordering, warehousing, inventory control, price quoting, and sales of parts while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Process daily orders, receive and ship parts in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate pricing and product information over the phone
  • Offer top-notch service to internal and external customers, collaborating with other departments as needed
  • Manage stock levels, locate products, and fill orders efficiently
  • Notify the parts administrator of out-of-stock items or shop materials requiring attention
  • Operate non-powered material handling equipment, such as dollies and pallet jacks
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, adhering to department policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Journeyman Certificate Required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the Parts industry
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Multitasking skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and operate a forklift (asset)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
