Westvac Industrial Ltd is a municipal and industrial dealership that has been in operation since 1997. With a head office in Acheson AB, the company has expanded covering all of Western Canada with branch offices in Saskatoon SK,
Calgary AB, and Surrey BC. Westvac has three divisions carrying an extensive product line, including Heavy & Automotive Vehicle Lifts, Wheel Servicing
Equipment, Garage Equipment, Hydro Excavators, Street Sweepers,
Garbage/Refuse Trucks, Fire Apparatus, Municipal Articulating Tractors, Sewer
Flushing Equipment, Sewer Camera Inspection Equipment, and a variety of other equipment.
**Parts Technician - Acheson, AB**
Westvac is has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Parts
Technician. This position will be based out of our Acheson, AB, location working with our Parts and Service team to support customers throughout the entire region. The customer base includes municipalities, municipal contractors, waste/refuse companies, fire departments, industrial contractors, maintenance garages, and more.
We are looking for a self-starting individual with a great attitude, personable character, and an appetite for growth. The right individual will be a team-based player with strong organizational abilities, with interest in continuous improvement.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Field customer calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Process orders, complete credit returns & transaction reconciliations
- Provide consistent support to customers and internal team members
- Source and order OEM and comparable aftermarket parts for customers from a variety of vendors
- Maintain work order requisitions and external parts invoices
- Utilize electronic parts catalogues, parts/unit reference books, and internal computer systems to source information.
- Utilize the company CRM computer system for tracking customer related activities and trends.
- Remain organized in duties related to inventory management, including bin creation & allocation, year-end counts, and performing adjustments.
- Return incorrect stock and obsolete parts to appropriate dealers or distributors
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving duties as required.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- 5 years experience in a Parts Technician role, with experience working in a shop setting.
- An exceptional attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
- A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electro-mechanical parts is a plus.
- Strong computer skills are a must with experience in various programs
(Microsoft Office)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have effective time management and organizational skills
- Have a valid class 5 driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous CDK experience would be considered and asset
