Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Technician will work closely with members of the Production, Engineering & Maintenance Teams, carrying out tool setup, assisting with maintenance and repair of plant equipment and supporting preventive maintenance strategies. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, which will include communication with production, maintenance, engineering, quality control and outside contractors.

The Maintenance Technician is expected to follow safe work practices and procedures and actively participate in the process of identifying and resolving workplace health and safety concerns. Due to the nature of the position in a 24/5 manufacturing environment, the flexibility to work overtime on relatively short notice is required. This will be a rotating shift position after an appropriate orientation period.

**Responsibilities**
- Provides tool change and machine setup for the production department
- Performs tool and equipment assembly and repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment
- Operates hoisting and lifting devices to position machine and tool parts during installation and set-up
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Document and maintain maintenance records in the CMMS system

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment with maintenance experience preferred
- Skilled at using hand and power tools
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision once properly trained
- Must have own transportation and a valid drivers license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.40-$32.67 per hour
