Job Summary:

The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our commercial facilities, including the management of staff, maintenance and repair of equipment, and the administration of contracts for supplies and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control the operations of commercial facilities, including the management of staff and the maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Identify customers' needs and recommend products or services to meet those needs.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
  • Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate.
  • Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
  • Promote sales to existing clients and identify and solicit potential clients.
  • Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services.
  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service.
  • Deliver sales presentations and estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service.
  • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services and consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
  • Plan and manage the facility's operations budget.
  • Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal.
  • Monitor safety conditions and monitor and inspect work.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in facilities management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and lifting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
