About the Role

RBC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Services Professional to join our team as an Investment Advisor. As an Investment Advisor, you will be responsible for building and managing long-term client relationships, providing personalized investment advice, and helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building: Establish a client base of high net worth individuals, families, business owners, and foundations, and manage their complex financial needs.
  2. Investment Strategy and Wealth Management: Leverage your investment strategy to create customized wealth management and investment services for your clients.
  3. Relationship Management and Communication: Foster trusted, often multi-generational, long-term relationships using personalized service and advice.
  4. Business Development and Partnerships: Establish and maintain reciprocal relationships with RBC partners such as Personal & Commercial Banking, Insurance, etc.
Requirements
  1. Experience and Education: 4-6 years of outbound sales experience and a degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Certifications and Licenses: Completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or will prior to start date.
  3. Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated, integrity, empathy, and a commitment to a career as an Investment Advisor.
  4. Personal Qualities: Recognize the value of hard work and investment of time to build a successful business.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in Direct Marketing and Financial Services: Experience in a direct marketing role, financial services, and shown success in high-value sales and business development, regardless of industry/discipline.
  2. Additional Certifications: Completed the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).
