About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Jonathan Audette Professional Corporation. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as administer benefits and other employee-related tasks.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, TaxPrep, and Sage Accounting Software.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Our office is located in a convenient location with public transportation available.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
