Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sanitation Operations Manager to lead our sanitation team in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in our facility. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of HACCP principles, GMP requirements, and CFIA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sanitation programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and supervise the sanitation team during cleaning shifts, providing training and mentorship on proper cleaning techniques and food safety practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance food safety and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of sanitation activities, including completion of sanitation logs and pre-operational inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to identify gaps or areas for improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in their development or revision.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in food safety or sanitation preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a food manufacturing sanitation role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP requirements, CFIA regulations, and SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills, with a focus on food safety and cleanliness.
