Instructional Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team at Q2. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences for our customers and employees on our financial institution products.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with subject matter experts and organizational leaders to identify training needs and develop educational content.
- Develop presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer, end-user classes, and specialized training courses on the Q2 platform.
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge transfer and retention.
- Develop instructional materials, including courses, curriculum, guides, training manuals, and other educational resources.
- Research and implement new technologies into instruction.
- Evaluate existing instructional content and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Develop training using a variety of media and methods, including instructor-led lecture and discussion, hands-on skills instruction, and e-learning or distance-based options.
- Identify internal and external training needs by monitoring upcoming product releases and working with other teams to identify training opportunities and necessary content updates.
- Serve as a professional member of the Customer Learning and Performance team, contributing ideas and expertise in the development of relevant, world-class training efforts.
- Represent Q2 in a positive, professional manner when working with external and internal customers.
- A degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
- Banking industry experience is strongly preferred.
- A technological skillset with experience in audio and video editing tools, Articulate, and the basic Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences in different modalities.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
- Possess and understand the principles of adult learning and training techniques.
- Ability to learn complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Self-starting, driven, and able to work autonomously; willingness to accept challenging projects.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.
