Assistant Professor, Contractually Limited Term Position

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a two-year contractually limited term appointment as Assistant Professor of French Linguistics at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching, with expertise in experimental or corpus-based French linguistics and a focus on language acquisition, bi/multilingualism, or psycholinguistics.
Responsibilities- Teach French linguistics and French-as-a-second-language courses in the French undergraduate programs
- Develop and maintain an active program of research
- Participate in experiential education and community outreach activities, including with local high schools
Candidates must have earned a PhD in French or Linguistics or a related area by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter. Native or near-native proficiency in French and a strong command of spoken and written English are required.
