Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a two-year full-time contractually limited term appointment in French Linguistics at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will have a PhD in French or Linguistics or a related area, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. They will have expertise in experimental or corpus-based French linguistics, and a focus on language acquisition, bi/multilingualism, or psycholinguistics.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research, establish an outstanding research program, and teach both French linguistics and French-as-a-second-language courses in the French undergraduate programs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in French and a strong command of spoken and written English. They must provide evidence of research excellence and teaching accomplishments, including a teaching dossier and strong letters of reference.
