Job Summary:

At FLUID HOSE & COUPLING INC., we are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool and die making, with the ability to compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce high-quality parts.
  • Inspect final products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Test prototypes and production tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine production requirements.
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates.
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Standing for extended periods is required.
