About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our wind energy team, you will be responsible for designing wind turbine foundations and supporting other renewable energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in business development for wind projects
  • Help prepare plans, design specifications, and reports
  • Design wind turbine foundations and support other renewable energy markets
  • Perform finite element modeling
  • Perform other technical functions to support project delivery
  • Assist with site inspections and surveys
  • Help plan, organize, and assess work
  • Help prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports
  • Participate in monitoring and commissioning engineering solutions
  • Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters
  • Audit client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design
  • Five years of experience in wind turbine foundation design
  • Proficient in project management
  • Advanced knowledge in reading drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions
  • Knowledge of one of the following software programs: Ansys, Ada, SAFI
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
