About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our wind energy team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions for wind turbine foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in business development for wind projects, identifying opportunities and developing strategies to drive growth.
  • Contribute to the preparation of plans, design specifications, and reports, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Design wind turbine foundations and support other renewable energy markets, including storage, solar, and substations.
  • Perform finite element modeling and other technical functions to support project delivery.
  • Assist with site inspections and surveys, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Help plan, organize, and assess work, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Participate in monitoring and commissioning engineering solutions, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design.
  • Five years of experience in wind turbine foundation design.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Advanced knowledge in reading drawings.
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions.
  • Knowledge of one of the following software programs: Ansys, Ada, SAFI.
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French).
