Main Responsibilities

As a Structural Civil Engineer at Genifab Consultants Inc., you will be responsible for defining engineering concepts required in the tender process, participating in constructability reviews, and ensuring client requirements are met.

Key Tasks
  • Develop and implement engineering concepts for tender processes
  • Participate in constructability reviews during initial engineering phases and construction
  • Ensure client requirements are met through effective project management
  • Maintain and improve engineering tools used within the company
  • Participate in technical reviews with clients
  • Ensure draftsmen understand and assimilate technical requirements of design when drafting
  • Complete design notes and initial drawings to define equipment to design
  • Prepare assembly, installation, and testing procedures
  • Prepare and follow engineering schedules
  • Handle non-conformities in fabrication and initiate work modification requests as required
  • Perform on-site inspections and resolve design issues
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in design engineering and project management
  • Member of OIQ
  • Proficient with structural software such as SAFI and Civil Design
  • ISO 9001 knowledge
  • Experience on hydroelectric projects
