About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Attendant for Persons with Disabilities to join our team at Heather Sawchuk. As an Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing supportive care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring the client's health and safety.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and supporting clients' dietary needs.
  • Exercise and Activity: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, and engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Availability: Availability to work 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate clients' needs.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
