Transportation Infrastructure Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our team as a Transportation Infrastructure Planner. This role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects related to transportation and infrastructure planning in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide planning support to projects, which may involve reviewing background information, developing planning context, network or facility planning, and assembling technical team inputs to assess and evaluate alternatives.
  • Coordinate engagement programs, including strategy development, outreach/information sharing/collaboration, managing stakeholder databases, tracking, coordinating response preparation, preparing materials, presentations, and documentation.
  • Prepare various written documents and presentation materials, including literature reviews, policy scans, Environmental Study Reports, Project Files, Master Plan documents, and background reviews with a focus on preparing public-facing reports.
  • Analyze data related to transportation trends, land use, and environmental impacts to inform planning decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning / Environmental Science / Geography, Transportation / Civil Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional registration as a Professional Planner (RPP, MCIP), Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) or equivalent, or similar field (or in the process of obtaining designation).
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation planning preferred.
