The Town of Hay River is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Administration to play a key role in assisting the organization achieve its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the senior management team.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports to inform business decisions.
- Design and implement effective financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the payroll system and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee the financial programs and services, including property taxation, utilities, and licensing/permitting.
- Lead and manage the Finance and Administrative department, providing guidance and support to staff.
The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) from a recognized accounting program and have several years of related senior financial and administrative experience, preferably in a municipal or other government sector.
A comprehensive benefits package, pension plan, and housing allowance are offered to the successful candidate.
