Financial Manager

The Yamózha Kúé Society, a Denendeh First Nations Regional Cultural Center, is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their team. Located on the K'atl'odeeche Dene Reserve in Hay River, NT, this role is a great opportunity for a finance professional to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic organization.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all financial procedures and daily operations of the Yamózha Kúé Society. This includes ensuring the accuracy of financial and accounting systems, monitoring general accounting functions, and supporting the Executive Director in achieving the organization's financial goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need a post-secondary degree in accounting, business, or finance, as well as several years of experience in a finance role. A strong knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting procedures, principles, and regulations is essential. Additionally, you will need to be sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences and diversity, with the ability to speak or write an aboriginal language being an asset.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing the annual audit and preparing annual financial statements. They will also have a strong knowledge of accounting software, including Sage Accounting and MS Excel.
