Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Niagara National Golf and Country. As a key member of our grounds team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscape Maintenance: Assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, weed, prune and trim trees and plants, cut grass, rake and collect refuse, remove litter and garbage, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, and apply fertilizers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Write daily basic progress reports.
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, punctuality, creativity, hardworking, maturity, and resourcefulness.
