Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Recreation Assistant to join our team at the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries.
  • Front Office Administration: Manage daily front office operations, including filing, administrative duties, and preparing forms for programs.
  • Program Support: Assist with program setup, equipment organization, and registration management.
  • Facility Monitoring: Monitor the facility and report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with recreation staff, maintenance staff, and other teams to ensure a smooth operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 Diploma
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a recreation, retail, or tourism field
  • Skills: Well-developed customer service and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certificates, Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training
  • Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of customer interaction. A valid Ontario driver's license, Class "G", with a clean driving record is required.

Hourly Rate: $21.16

Expected Work Location: Kiwanis Aquatics Centre

Hours of Work: Monday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
