Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health and Safety Specialist to manage the safety day-to-day operations of assigned project sites and regions. The HSE Specialist will liaise with field operations and work as a team member with fellow HSE Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate safety-related education and training
  • Engage with project teams to influence commitment to safety protocols
  • Support and lead HSE for specific operational projects
  • Partner with operations on HSE messaging and communications
  • Analyze data from reports to review existing preventative programs and make recommendations for new initiatives
  • Engage with field leaders during site inspections
  • Attend all HSE applicable meetings
  • Support operations and Senior Leadership in managing risk

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Previous 3+ years experience working in the construction industry would be a strong asset
  • Credentials to support skillset
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft office
  • Effective communicator with the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships
  • Well organized with an ability to effectively set and manage competing priorities
  • Strong team player with the ability to operate independently
  • Driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites
