Job Title: Special Education Classroom Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Classroom Teacher to join our team at PALS Autism Society – School Program.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans, providing small group and one-to-one instruction, and assessing student progress. They will work collaboratively with the ABA Program team and other professionals to support students with autism spectrum disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with autism spectrum disorders
  • Provide small group and one-to-one instruction to students with autism spectrum disorders
  • Assess and evaluate student progress on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with the ABA Program team and other professionals to support students with autism spectrum disorders
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers

Requirements:

  • Valid BC Ministry of Education teaching certificate or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
