About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Technology Education Teacher to join our team at Fraser River Middle School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Technology Education to middle years students, with a focus on woodshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Technology Education to middle years students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Valid BC Teachers Certificate
  • Member of the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Bachelor of Education degree (Technology or Industrial Education concentration) or academic equivalent
  • Qualified/experienced in teaching Technology Education (Woodshop)
  • Experience teaching at the Middle Years level, including Woodshop
  • Knowledge of effective literacy and numeracy practices and development
  • Knowledge and experience in personalizing learning for all students
  • Ability and willingness to work in a technologically rich learning environment
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Commitment to creating a safe and caring learning environment
