We are seeking a Demand Forecasting Specialist to join our team.

This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Demand Planning Country Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad family of people-centric professionals, thought leaders, and rapid thinkers.

Job Purpose

The Demand Forecasting Specialist will create demand forecasts on SKU level, collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Supply Planning teams to ensure accurate forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain consensus demand forecast at SKU level, applying intelligence adjustments from internal and external sources when applicable.
  • Manage demand forecast for over 2000 SKUs, including baseline generation, innovation, and other building blocks management.
  • Review historical sales trends and seasonal trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Participate and lead the development of a consensus forecast for new item launches from ideation to commercialization in-market.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Supply Planning functions to ensure the most accurate forecast possible.
  • Accurately document Supply Chain forecast per key building block for input into the monthly IBP process.
  • Maintain, analyze, and publish monthly forecast metrics; identify and resolve the root cause of deviation with the goal of continuous metric improvement.
  • Actively participate in IBP and S&OP processes.
  • Work closely with the Supply Planning team to identify and resolve changes in demand forecast; drive solutions to mitigate customer service level risk and lost sales.
  • Facilitate prioritization and decision-making in case of foreseen product shortages.
  • Take the initiative to identify, lead, and establish continuous improvement practices that improve supply chain and company performance.
  • Build new dashboards and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain.
  • 5 years of experience preferred in S&OP, Demand Planning, or sales forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholders management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skillset and Power BI.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Understanding applicable computer systems such as SAP APO and IBP is an asset.
