Senior Waste Management Operations Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our hazardous waste management operations into a single, state-of-the-art facility. This role offers the unique opportunity to build and oversee a regulated waste processing powerhouse while maintaining current operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the integration of multiple waste processing operations into a single facility while maintaining operational continuity.
- Manage regulatory compliance throughout the transition, ensuring adherence to Ontario Regulation 347 and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with trades and contractors for facility modifications and upgrades.
- Oversee the systematic transfer of operations from existing sites to the new facility.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase waste intake volume.
- Manage fleet expansion and workforce growth to support operational scaling.
- Ensure environmental and safety compliance throughout the integration process.
- Optimize operational efficiency and profitability of the consolidated facility.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years experience in hazardous waste management operations.
- Thorough knowledge of Ontario's environmental regulations MECP and RPRA requirements.
- Demonstrates Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) knowledge.
- WHMIS certification.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and facility integration.
- Strong understanding of hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal practices.
