About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based solutions that enable our customers to benefit from virtually limitless computing power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based software products and supporting systems.
  • Participate in planning, architecture, and research to drive innovation and solve complex problems.
  • Develop and implement novel solutions that think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Employ best practices to convert customer requirements into scalable designs and maintain them through technical reviews and mentoring.
  • Perform complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
  • Research and understand marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing commercial enterprise software.
  • Experience with developing web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular or React framework.
  • Experience in designing APIs and developing scalable services using object-oriented languages (Python or C# or Java).
  • Experience with large project development and deployment on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with HPC Cluster provisioning in Cloud environments.
  • Experience with enterprise software development best-practices, Git, Linux, Continuous integration, and Continuous deployments.
  • Experience with NoSQL or RDBMS Database technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Job schedulers (Slurm) and Container orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
