About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of data integration solutions, including API integrations and data feeds, to ensure seamless data flow and scalability.
  • Use expertise in big data and cloud computing to design and implement efficient and effective data pipelines, leveraging technologies such as Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, and Synapse.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes and mentor junior team members in data engineering best practices.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability of data integration solutions.
  • Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in data engineering solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based technologies.
  • Proven expertise in Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, Synapse, and other cloud-based data engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake design.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
