Fencing Instructor Job Description

Vango Toronto Fencing Center is seeking a skilled Fencing Instructor to join our team. As a Fencing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching fencing techniques and strategies to students of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate and instruct fencing techniques and strategies to students
  • Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
  • Plan and carry out fencing activities and events
  • Maintain and repair fencing equipment
  • Keep logs and maintain records of student progress
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed during fencing activities
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in fencing instruction or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a regular basis
  • Be able to lift and move fencing equipment as needed
