Fencing Instructor Job Description

Vango Toronto Fencing Center is seeking a skilled Fencing Instructor to join our team. As a Fencing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching fencing techniques and strategies to individuals and groups of various skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate and instruct fencing techniques and strategies to individuals and groups
  • Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure fencing programs
  • Plan and carry out fencing activities and events
  • Maintain and repair fencing equipment
  • Prepare reports and logs
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Assemble fencing supplies and equipment
  • Monitor fencing activities to ensure safety and provide emergency assistance when required
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Criminal record check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
Work Setting:

The Fencing Instructor will work in a private club setting, leading groups and individuals in recreational or leisure fencing programs.

Supervision:

The Fencing Instructor will be supervised by the Program Manager and will work closely with other instructors and staff members.

Security and Safety:

The Fencing Instructor will be required to undergo a criminal record check and will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of participants.
