Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand talent needs and guide headcount planning to ensure the company has the necessary resources to deliver on its strategic goals.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job descriptions, full-cycle recruitment, and onboarding of new hires.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and programs in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage employee relations, including addressing and resolving complex employee concerns and disputes.
- Lead the performance review cycle, providing coaching and training to leaders, and ensuring timely completion of reviews.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the executive team and all departments.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- The ability to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing space for your team.
- Passion for creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- A good understanding of the challenges of the Tech Industry.
- A great sense of humour and a positive mindset.
- CPHR certification preferred.
PressReader offers a hybrid work environment to balance the flexibility of working from home and being together to collaborate, celebrate, and connect. This position is based in our Richmond, BC office and requires to be on-premises 2 days a week. When not in the office, employees have the opportunity to work remotely. The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.
