Job Summary:

The Unregulated Care Provider plays a vital role in our communities, fostering meaningful connections with residents and contributing to their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, adhering to policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, monitoring residents' conditions and reporting any changes to the Director of Wellness.
  • Report incidents, near misses, illnesses, or problems with residents to the Director of Wellness or General Manager.
  • Provide guidance to Guest Attendants to ensure care assignments are completed and changes in residents' needs are reported to the Director of Wellness.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, utilizing infection control principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Personal Service Worker certificate program.
  • Successful completion of the Medication Administration training program provided on-site and successful quarterly evaluation of competencies.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Current CPR training.
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process.
  • All applicants must pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with medication administration is an asset.
