We are seeking a compassionate and professional Personal Support Worker to join our Barrie team.

Job Summary:

As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in a retirement facility. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
  • Providing ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises with the safe use of assistive devices
  • Assisting with toileting and incontinence care
  • Meal planning, preparation, and assistance with eating
  • Companionship and meaningful engagement activities
  • Homemaking tasks including light housekeeping, dusting, sweeping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms
  • Electronic documentation as per agency policy
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Successful completion of a PSW certificate course
  • At least six months experience as a PSW in a community care setting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • The ability to obtain a vulnerable sector check acceptable to ComForCare North Simcoe
  • The ability to get to clients' homes in a defined geographical area
