Job Summary

As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide individualized care to clients based on their specific needs and preferences. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various aspects of daily living, such as:

  • Bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
  • Ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises using assistive devices
  • Toileting and incontinence care
  • Meal planning, preparation, and assistance with eating
  • Companionship, meaningful engagement activities, and household management
  • Light housekeeping, dusting, sweeping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and bathroom cleaning
  • Medication reminders
  • Electronic documentation according to agency policy
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate course
  • At least six months of experience as a PSW in a community care setting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • The ability to obtain a vulnerable sector check acceptable to ComForCare North Simcoe
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach clients within the designated geographical area
  • A naturally nurturing, friendly, positive, patient, and respectful demeanor
