Account Manager Opportunity

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our client's growing team. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving and executing a retail sales plan for accounts that will result in sales and profit growth of existing and new business.

The Role:

  • Manage accounts with Retail and Distribution Partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, buyers, and distributor partners
  • Work collaboratively through the Joint Business Planning process to formulate and execute plans to drive profitable growth for the brand
  • Responsible for P&L and trade fund management including analysis of promo spend, markdown planning & deduction process
  • Own budget by account while monitoring sales trends to ensure account profitability with clearly established growth and distribution targets
  • Develop and execute promotional plans and identify opportunities to drive revenue aligning with internal objectives
  • Conduct post-promotional analysis, provide insights and recommendations for future planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams including demand planning, finance, and marketing to achieve brand goals and prioritize opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • 4+ years of Sales, Account Management, Merchandising, or Category Management experience is required
  • CPG industry experience is highly preferred
  • Strategic and proactive thinking to develop sales strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing, and merchandising objectives
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities and prepare contingency plans
  • Comprehensive analytic abilities to understand market trends, future opportunities and develop strategies to close gaps and increase sales
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
