Job Summary

Brukar Pharmacy Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products with precision and accuracy.
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments.
  • Bill third-party insurers and process claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams with attention to detail and quality.
  • Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • Process health insurance and workers' compensation claims with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collect and analyze statistics to inform business decisions.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including reception, telephone, and appointment scheduling.
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of collection areas.
  • Manage routine office functions, including ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, organized, team player, reliable, dedicated, and ability to work in a permanent position with 37.5 hours per week.
