Job Summary

Brukar Pharmacy Ltd. is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in the preparation and dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products with precision and accuracy.
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to meet the needs of our pharmacy.
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments.
  • Bill third-party insurers with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers' compensation with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collect statistics to inform our pharmacy operations and improve patient care.
  • Perform general clerical duties to support our team.
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of collection areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
  • Order supplies and equipment to meet the needs of our pharmacy.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
Work Environment

Brukar Pharmacy Ltd. is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work under pressure. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will be working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
